Event Report: Hands-on with the Montblanc 4810 collection.

Last week Montblanc invited journalists to view the Montblanc 4810 collection over lunch. Davide Cerrato, Managing Director Watch Division, Montblanc International did the presentation. He has been in the watch industry since 2004 and held various positions in Marketing and Product Development before joining Montblanc last year.

Anouar Guerraoui (MD, Montblanc South East Asia) and Davide Cerrato (MD, Watch Division)

Slide presentation with a some history of the brand.

The new in-house movement MB 29.21

Details of the patented ExoTourbillon movement.

 The Orbis Terrarum Worldtime.

 More details down the post.

A highlight of some of the pieces....
The screwed balance wheel is outside the tourbillon cage and this patented design provides a better isochronism of the balance's oscillation resulting in a more stable and precise movement. This stunning ExoTourbillon Slim in rose gold is easily one of the most affordable tourbillons on the market.

Good finishing seen on the Cal MB 29.21 that features a micro rotor (keeps the movement slim as oppose to a rotor) and a stop-second mechanism for a more precise time setting.

It's a very handsome watch on the wrist! The indicator at 3 o'clock shows the setting done using the crown: Winding, Setting and Stop second.

Another variation in limited pieces of the ExoTourbillon Slim in white gold with miniature hand painted dial of maps of North America (36 pieces), Europe (36 pieces) and Asia (38 pieces).

A piece of art...Absolutely stunning indeed!!

The Montblanc Orbis Terrarum Pocket Watch (limited to 110 pieces) pays tribute to early 20th century seafaring. At the back of this worldtimer, one will see a lovely engraving of a steamliner.

The Montblanc 4810 Chronograph. With a blue centre chrono seconds hand, a dial that is adorned with the Montblanc star pattern guilloche and a date at 6 o'clock, this piece is a combination of nice aesthetics and functionality!

The black dial version.

A lighthearted discussion between Anouar, Wei and Davide.

Table setting.

A sumptuous meal with good company and fine watches. Thanks to the Montblanc team for the opportunity to view the awesome 4810 collection!
